Welcome to the Homepage of Nanoscape Research Laboratory!

Nanoscape is the nanocomputing research laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at University of Florida. Research efforts in the lab are led by Prof. Swarup Bhunia. The workforce in the research lab consists of graduate, undergraduate as well as high school students. The research effort in Nanoscape is sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC), Intel Corporation, Cisco, IBM, Raytheon, Draper, Discover, National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), and University of Florida. In Nanoscape, the principal research thrust is nanocomputing, using both nanoscale CMOS as well as emerging nanodevices. In particular, the lab focuses on developing model, architecture and circuit techniques for reliable, low-power, reconfigurable and secure nanoelectronic system design and their applications. Two specific application areas that the lab explores are bio-implantable electronics (for neural recording and stimulation, bladder pressure monitoring), wearable systems (for cancer diagnostics and heart monitoring) as well as poly-SiC based high-temperature electronics. Research work in Nanoscape has resulted in over 250 publications in premier journals and conferences and led to number of collaborations.
